Both of these units produce .dss (Digital Speech Standard) files. The Quikscribe Player and Quikscribe Recorder are capable of importing the .dss format, and the Philips Digital Pocket Memo is integrated into the Quikscribe Recorder to support advanced features.

Alternatively if you want to do serious post editing with audio,Quikscribe is not the product you need. What you need is product like Sound Forge. With Sound Forge almost anything is possible from a post editing perspective. It is for this reason that we have made sure that Quikscribe is 100% compatible with Sound Forge and ideal companion when creating professional C.B.T. (Computer Based Training) content with Quikscribe.
